Shamus Ryan is a United States Marine Corps Veteran who deployed to Ramadi, Iraq two times. As an Infantry Marine, Shamus was trained in the use and deployment of many types of firearms and was selected to become an instructor to train, coach and mentor new Marines in the use of those firearms. Following the Marine Corps, Shamus attended school and began his Law Enforcement Career. Shamus is a firearms instructor with the agency he works for, and he has extensive past and current experience training new officers proper shooting technique and safe weapons handling. In addition to new shooters, Shamus also instructs at the highest-level on his department’s SWAT team. Shamus has attended and is certified by the FBI‘s firearms instructor course and the Defensive Edge firearms instructor course. For over 5 years, Shamus worked in an undercover unit and carried a concealed firearm every day on the job. With his experience, Shamus is a subject matter expert and can help you safely and efficiently carry a firearm in the real world.
